There is one Premier League to enjoy this Monday evening, as Brighton host Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium.
The hosts still lie in 16th place in the league after a slow start to the season, but they are unbeaten in six league games and will go above tonight’s opponent if they win the game.
Crystal Palace have been struggling for goals without their injured talisman Wilfried Zaha and Brighton, who have kept clean sheets in five of their last six league games, can capitalise on the Ivorian’s absence.
That said, while Palace have been shot shy, Brighton are not exactly free scoring. This is likely to be a low scoring affair, given there have been just five goals scored across the last three Premier League rivalries between the pair.
In games which we think will be low scoring, we prefer to take the first goalscorer option. Neal Maupay has had a little goal drought of late, but he has scored seven times in 22 appearances and is Brighton’s regular penalty taker. We’ll take a punt that he scores first.
Maupay to score first, 1 pt, at 4/1 William Hill
