Champions League: Gundogan guns for goals…

The Champions League continues this evening, with Borussia Monchengladbach taking on Manchester City in Budapest, Hungary, due to coronavirus restrictions.

City start as favourites, having won 18 matches in a row in all competitions. They are 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup final and the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, but probably now look upon this tournament as their most tricky challenge.

Their German opponents currently lie eighth in the Bundesliga, with only one win in five matches in all competitions, and are set to lose manager Marco Rose to Dortmund at the end of the season.

We like the look of Manchester City for this game, and have been very impressed with the form of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan since his has been given license to play a more attacking role. Paddy Power quotes 9/2 for the German star to have at least 2 shots on target, and we’ll try that.
