Champions League: Blues to win tight affair…

The Champions League continues tonight, with English representation taking the form of Chelsea, who travel to Spain to take on Porto, due to Covid reasons.

The Blues enter the game on the back of a heavy loss to West Brom on the weekend, their first defeat in 15 games since Thomas Tuchel succeeded Frank Lampard as manager. That 5-2 defeat came out of the blue as Chelsea had recorded clean sheets in each of their previous seven matches, including both legs of their Champions League last-16 clash against Atletico Madrid.

Porto have also proved to be a resilient side, conceding just three goals in the group stage (all against Manchester City), but enter this clash with their two leading scorers suspended.

Chelsea haven’t scored more than twice in a game since the change in management, but they have found the net in 12 of those 15 games. We think this will be tight game, and look for Chelsea to win 1-0 – a scoreline that the Blues have won three of their last four away games in all competitions.
