Premier League: Laca-net…

There are two more Premier League matches to enjoy Sunday, as well as a FA Cup semifinal.

First up, Arsenal take on Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are a tricky team to predict – abject in defeat to Liverpool one week and then dismissing Sheffield United with ease the next.

However, Fulham have now lost four successive league games, undoing all the previous good work. They have failed to win any of their previous 28 away matches against today’s opponent, and we can’t see that stat changing today.

Alexandre Lacazette scored twice in Arsenal’s win over Sheffield United last time out and also netted in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. We’ll take the French striker to get the ball rolling with the first today.

The second Premier League game sees Manchester United take on Burnley at Old Trafford.

United were beaten in three of their opening six league matches this season but have lost only one of their subsequent 25 games. They will approach this match with confidence.

But so too will Burnley, as they are unbeaten in their previous four trips to Old Trafford.

We think this could be a hard fought battle, and with this in mind we think the 9/1 on offer that Scott McTominay gets booked is a great price, providing he starts. The Scot has been booked in five of his last seven outings.

Sunday’s other match sees Leicester take on Southampton in the second semifinal of the FA Cup, for the right to take on Chelsea in the final.

The Foxes are aiming to reach their fifth FA Cup final, having never won the competition, and are firm favourites given they lie 11 places above Southampton in the league.

That said, the Saints knocked out holders Arsenal in the fourth round, so won’t be phased by being underdogs.

We at Lap of the Odds have been very impressed with the recent form of Kelechi Iheanacho. The Leicester striker has scored nine goals in his last six matches, and we’ll take him to score a brace tonight against what can be a very leaky Southampton defence.

Recommendations:

Arsenal/Fulham: Lacazette to score first, 1pt, at 7/2, William Hill

Manchester United/Burnley: McTominay to be booked, 1 pt, at 9/1, Unibet

Leicester/Southampton: Iheanacho to score a brace, 1 pt, at 10/1, SkyBet
