Monday Yankee: Enough in hand…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Enough Already, (1645 Windsor), 1pt win, 3/1:

Lightly raced for his age and came good at the ninth time of asking with a cosy win on the all weather last time.  Has been allowed to keep a very similar mark and there was enough in his early turf form to suggest he will handle the transfer back to the grass.

Venturous,  (1330 Pontefract),  9/4:   Has been in flying form over the Winter and could have gone closer in the Good Friday sprint with a bit more luck.  Races off 7lbs lower on turf but nothing really to suggest he should be any worse.  Loves a fast run stiff 5f and this track with Caspian Prince blasting away should make for ideal conditions.

Wemyss Point, (1400 Pontefract) 7/2: the second longest flat race of the season so it’s pretty much guesswork who will handle the trip, unless of course you’ve won it before.  Step forward 2018 winner Wemyss Point who returns 8lbs lower.  He may not be the horse he was but he has been in steady form on the all weather and has by far the most compelling credentials.

Della Mare,  (1540 Windsor), 11/5: Her win at Kempton last time was her first in a light career of just 5 runs.  She has been raised just 2lbs for that but with the second and third that day both winning next time, it looks like some generous handicapping.
