Tuesday Yankee: No Sham pain…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Shamiyan,  (1650 Gowran), 1pt win, 9/1:

Lightly raced and came good in his only handicap at this trip when getting up late at Dundalk.  Had no luck on reappearance over 10f at Leopardstown, and should enjoy this step up in trip.  Looks significant that his yard didn’t pursue more prizes after his Dundalk win last winter, so preserving this favourable mark for what could be a good turf campaign.

Crack Regiment, (1230 Lingfield), 6/1:   Has done nearly all his running in France and returns here on the all weather, after a 6 month break and over a shorter trip.  Those are the negatives, the plus side is that this is not a great race and that his one UK all weather effort at Kempton was far better than the form suggests.  Worth a punt.

Four Adaay, (1505 Lingfield), 9/2: consistent fully who won on her only previous run here.  Loves to have a strong pace to aim at and that is guaranteed with speedster Virginia Plain sure to blast away.  It could set up perfectly for Oisin Murphy to smuggle her into the race with a decisive final thrust.

Mk Drama, (1510 Gowran), 5/1:  consistent mare who elevated her form when a runaway winner on her last run at this track.  Has since been place creditably in big fields at the Curragh on two runs and returns to the scene of her best run from a decent draw.
