Premier League: Cavani to cash in…

There are a couple of Premier League matches today, with the highlight being the late game as Manchester United take on Liverpool at Old Trafford.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to restore his regular first-team players after making 10 changes against Leicester on Tuesday, and will be looking to end Liverpool’s faint chances of claiming a top four spot. The hosts have only lost one of their past 15 home games against Liverpool in all competitions, but equally they have won just one of the past nine league meetings, home and away.

Liverpool have won five of their last seven away league fixtures, but they have still looked defensively weak. They will again be missing new centerback Ozan Kabak, and this means they could be vulnerable against the crossed ball.

For this reason, we’re going to sign with Edison Cavani to score a header. The veteran striker has been in sensational form, and scored a header against Aston Villa recently. We think his clever runs may be too much for a makeshift Liverpool back line.

The early game sees Aston Villa take on Everton at Villa Park.

The hosts won the first meeting between these two sides at Goodison Park just 12 days ago, but Everton on the road are a different animal altogether. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have earned 36 away points this season, compared with only 19 at Goodison Park.

Additionally, Villa will be missing center forward Ollie Watkins due to suspension, while star player Jack Grealish is returning from injury but only looks fit enough for a place of the substitutes bench.

While Villa bemoan the absence of their leading scorer, Everton welcomed back Dominic Calvert-Lewin from the treatment room on the weekend. He promptly scored the only goal in their 1-0, and we’ll take him to score the opener again today, adding to his 16 already this season.
