The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Eton College, (1815 Musselburgh), 1pt win, 9/1:
Lion Tower will be hard to peg back if he jumps quickly from his outside stall and looks more of a threat than favourite Danzan who stretches out to 7f for the first time in 33 starts over 4 years. Eton College could be the one to benefit. A typical Mark Johnston runner in that he has proved capable of turning around the form from the odd startling effort. His best two efforts this year came at this track. Expect him to stay on well off what will hopefully be a headlong gallop.
Six Strings, (1620 Musselburgh ), 5/1: Plenty of these would want either one more, or one less, furlong to be at their best. Six Strings is one of the few that should be ideally suited by conditions and although well up in the weights for recent success it still looks like he can carve out another chance
The Navigator, (1840 Musselburgh ), 4/1: plenty of in form contenders here but they are getting handicapped accordingly. The Navigator is well below his best form of late but has shown glimpses in a few recent efforts. Could be a long price if he keeps trending the right way.
Sound Of Iona, (1715, Musselburgh), 12/1: Looking for a well handicapped in-form horse with a high draw but none of all those boxes ticked. Gunnerside is a worthy fav as he come closest but we will risk the form tick by picking the well drawn Sound Of Iona. She is well weighted in here best form and her best run this season did come on her sole appearance here. Worth chancing she can burst back to her best as her chance is huge if she does.
