NFL: Goedert to strike gold…

The opening game in Sunday’s televised double-header sees the Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers, keen to build on their opening day thumping of the Atlanta Falcons.

Both teams won their first games of this new season, but the Eagles were a lot more impressive in beating the Falcons 32-6, while the 49ers struggled to close out their win, eventually beating the lowly Detroit Lions 41-33.

Dallas Goedert plays at tight end for Eagles, and he seems to have become the red zone target for quarterback Jalen Hurts. A price of 11/4 to score a touchdown anytime seems a good price against a 49ers defence that let the Lions score over 30 points!

The late game sees the Dallas Cowboys travelling west to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cowboys were decimated through the air by Tom Brady last week, and Chargers’ quarterback Justin Herbert should have his way with this Dallas defence. He has a lot of weapons out wide, but we’re going to side with tight end Jared Cook to score a touchdown.

He caught five passes last week, his first regular season game with his new team, after being a consistent touchdown scorer with the New Orleans Saints for the last couple of years.

Recommendations:

Goedert (Eagles), at 11/4, and Cook (Chargers), at 23/10, to score anytime touchdowns as a double, 1 pt, at approximately 11/1, Paddy Power
