Tuesday Yankee: Take the Silk road…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Silkstone, (1610 Beverley), 1pt win, 12/1:

Not perhaps one to trust entirely but has shown signs of a return to form stepped back to this trip of late.  Looked pretty unlucky at this track two runs ago when held up but meeting trouble and probably ran too close to the pace last time.  Worth chancing he can reproduce his Beverley form at these odds.

Trouser The Cash, (1435 Lingfield), 11/4: has won 3 of her last 6 starts which is a pretty good strike rate for a low grade sprint handicapper.  Seems to be getting better and has run well here as well as winning at other all weather tracks.  Her Yarmouth form looks good and that track bizarrely correlates well with this one on the formbook.

Arabescato, (1510 Lingfield), 9/4:  loves it here and landed a nap for us last time.  Only up a fraction for that narrow win and the reopposing second Tindrum gets a one pound pull and is twice the price.  However narrow the margin though, it always looked as if Arabescato was going to edge it last time, and there is often merit in backing the winner to confirm where the will to win can often overcome small changes in the weights and measures.

Possible Ambition, (1645 Beverley), 4/1: 3yo who is still a maiden but has run his best races at this track.  The form of his 4th here last time is working out well.  Has to overturn the form with the third that day, but this fella did best of those held up in a falsely run race.  Should fare better still with a more honest pace and can finally get his head in front.
