Thursday Yankee: Lucky night?….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Lucky Man, (2000 Wolves), 1pt win, 7/2:

Certainly didn’t live up to his name when desperately unfortunate at Chelmsford last time.  Slowly away, hampered and then finished like a train to be pipped by Jazzy Princess.  Should get his revenge on her tonight and that should be enough even from a wider draw than ideal.

Duty Beyond, (1730 Wolves), 9/2:   This 3yo is pretty unexposed having races early in France.  Made his UK and stable debut in a nice race here recently when running on nicely for a never threatening 6th.  Looks likely to do a lot better now for a stable still in great form.

Iconic Look,  (1830 Wolves), 9/2:  we were on Haunted Dream when he sluiced in at Chelmsford last time and he is going to be hard to beat under his penalty but may be overbacked to do so.  Iconic Look is well bred, quietly improving, has a useful 5lb claimer on and may just be at least as far ahead of the handicapper as Haunted Dream.

Out Of Reason, (2030 Wolves), 6/1:  old Delph Crescent looks likely to go close but he is vulnerable to younger legs.  Out Of Reason has run well on both his last two starts over this course and distance looking a bit unfortunate not to register a win.  Should still have improvement and may just have too much in hand for the older rivals.
