Thursday Yankee: Bookie Bash?…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Basholo, (1720 Chelmsford), 1pt win, 9/2:

Some interesting types in this but none more so that Basholo. She was sent off favourite for her in form yard on nursery debut at Kempton last time.  She finished well for third in a race where precious little went right for her.  Jockey Tom Marquand does the steering tonight and can guide her to the success her Kempton run suggests is imminent.

Dark Terms, (1650 Chelmsford), 6/1:  looked much improved in his first two nursery runs at Kempton, romping home in the second of those.  We fancied home to overcome a weight rise next time at Newcastle but he flopped there.  It may be worth forgiving him that as Newcastle’s track doesn’t suit all, and this is much more like the Kempton test.  Hollie Doyle keeps the faith, as do we.

Invincible Larne, (1850 Chelmsford), 6/1:  been kept typically busy for his yard and has arguably run many of his best races at this track.  Plenty of pace form the low numbers here and that may allow him a good tow into the race, and he is just the sort who could arrive last on the scene up the straight and steal the spoils.

Artemis Sky, (1920 Chelmsford), 5/4:  has been knocking on the door but as of yet is still to break his duck.  Seems to have improved for stepping up in trip and can do so again.  Has a solid chance on form made stronger by the dismal quality of opposition.
