The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Fanion D’Estruval, (1425 Newbury), 1pt win, 5/2:
Was at his most impressive first time out last season when romping home at this course. Is naturally a stone heavier now, so this will be harder, but looked excellent on return at Aintree and can land another course win.
Nassalem, (1240 Newbury), 9/4: useful little novice event. Millers Bank might be the class act, but this is a good chance to get on Nassalem who receives plenty of weight allowances as a youngster but looked assured on chasing debut at Ascot. Looked there like this switch to left-handed could bring about improvement, and the guts he showed to edge the useful Solo augurs well.
Mister Coffey, (1350 Newbury), 11/4: an excellent little event and it is tempting to with Solo. Equally Boothill has looked a chaser in the making, but catching Mister Coffey fresh has tended to work well. He ran well when fancied for some valuable handicap hurdlers whilst always looking a chaser. He can make a big leap forward here.
Lisnagar Oscar, (1500 Newbury), 6/1: a few question marks over whether class act Paisley Park is the horse he was, whilst Indefatigable has a tough task under a penalty. Mrs Milner is probably the sensible call, but she has a bit to find on ratings with old warrior Lisnagar Oscar. He doesn’t win often, but looked in good form at Aintree over a shorter trip and could go close for an in form yard.
