The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Ardhill, (1350 Fairyhouse), 1pt win, 7/4:
Glenquin Castle seeks to win an eighth straight race and has a big chance but has been unlucky enough to bump into a real blot. Ardhill had shown next to nothing, but then was a revelation, as so many of his stable are, when sauntering to an easy Ascot win last time. The weight hike looks nothing like enough and it is easy to see him running up a Glenquin style sequence in advance of the spring festivals.
Banntown Girl, (1320 Fairyhouse), 7/4: made an excellent hurdling debut at this track in November and built on that when a fine third in a Listed Punchestown event. Some good rivals from top yards help keep the price honourable, and she should oblige.
Take All, (1420 Fairyhouse), 5/1: Blackbow could be the class act here but he may find it hard on debut to give a stone to useful novice Take All. He ran well at Leopardstown last time, should keep improving for experience and gets a handy 10lb pull with the winner that day.
Saint Sam, (1450 Fairyhouse), 2/1: Thedevilscoachman was one of the most eye catching runners of the season on chasing debut and clearly should go well here. That said he was no better as a hurdle than Saint Sam and the Mullins horse was built to go chasing. Should be ready to go and may have too many gears for the Coachman.
