Goodwood- Galway Friday: Legendary Poet set for one more Galway verse…

The Daily Yankee:

NAP OF THE DAY:  One Cool Poet, (1835 Galway), 2pts win, 10/1:

A veteran who will always be a legend for winning three races in a week at this meeting in 2019.  Has shown little since including last in this race last year and agin after a year off when last over hurdles here on Monday.  But then yesterday he went off rank outsider over an inadequate mile and flew home late on for fifth.  Obviously can take a quick reappearance and may just be ready to relive old glories.

Reshoun, (1350 Goodwood), 15/2:  this endless looping of Goodwood looks ready made for two classy old stayers in Reshoun and Withhold.  The latter is very interesting after a fine second in this last year but the handicapper could have been kinder and he has a lot to do to reverse form from last time out against easy winner Reshoun.  Proven at the trip and in the form of his life he looks the solid pick.

Sinjaari, (1500 Goodwood), 11/1:  calling a nineteen times raced handicapper unexposed seems unlikely, but having plied a career at 10f, this classy sort seems to have found extra for the drop back to a mile this year.  Looked value for more than the winning distance at Sandown, has a handy draw, and copes exceptionally well in these big field handicaps.

Acklam Express, (1705 Goodwood), 7/1:  Raasel may have been lucky to beat both Mitbaahy and Equilateral at Sandown but could still confirm the form on a track he runs so well.  That said though Acklam’s third in the King’s Stand at Ascot is the best form here and makes him marginally the best in.  His one previous run here was  when ridiculously well handicapped but a near 5l win over 5f suggests he runs this track particularly well and he can be the value.
