The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Euchan Glen, (1455 Haydock), 2pts win, 5/1:
Our Ebor pick at York when absolutely nothing went right and he finished a closing 7th with plenty left in the tank. Jockey Mulrennan will want to give a better chance here and he remains enticingly handicapped despite a 3lb rise.
Thundering, (1420 Haydock), 7/1: we were on this lightly raced fella at York last time where a somewhat misjudged effort saw home plug on too late for a closing second. Gets a new pilot today and two extra furlongs and has a good chance to make amends.
First View, (1440 Kempton), 9/2: Godolphin have enough horses not to cling on to such a lightly raced 5yo so they must think there is some mileage off this mark. Has been excellent on the all-weather, as his breeding might suggest, and a non-staying 7th in the Magnet Cup last time is still better than anything these opponents have achieved..
Inver Park, (1510 Ascot ), 5/1: we were on Aratus when he was badly drawn behind Fresh last time and they should be much closer today, but both could struggle to hold the revelation that is Inver Park who won well here at the Royal meeting and had a typically unlucky experience over a shorter trip at Goodwood last time. Another with the chance to set some records straight.
