Premier League: Haaland to use his head…

Sunday’s Premier League fixtures start with a bang, as defending champions Manchester City take on cross-city rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

United have won their last four Premier League matches, including home victories over Liverpool and Arsenal, but this is the acid test as to their title aspirations. City have scored 14 goals in their first three Premier League home matches this season, and are sure to cause United’s new-look defence a lot of problems.

Erling Haaland is bang in form – he has scored 12 goals in seven games for City, including each of his last six Premier League shots on target at the Etihad. With Harry Maguire injured, Haaland is likely to have a significant height advantage over new United central defender Lisandro Martinez, and thus we’ll take him to score a header.

The late game sees Leeds take on Aston Villa at Elland Road. Both teams currently lie in the bottom half of the table, but three points this afternoon could change that.

Leeds have had more than four weeks to wait to try and avenge their 5-2 Premier League defeat at Brentford in early September. They have taken seven points from their first three league fixtures at Elland Road this season, and will be confident of adding to that total.

Villa, by contrast, have struggled on the road, losing six of their last eight away games at the end of last season and the start of this term and their only win during that run came against relegated Burnley in May. Villa have scored only six league goals this season, and we fancy Leeds to outgun them today.

Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra has scored in his first two Premier League starts for Leeds. Throw in a cup goal, and he could become only the second player to score in each of his first four games for the Yorkshire club. We’ll take a punt he does so.

City/United: Haaland to score a header, 1 pt, at 9/2, SkyBet

Leeds/Aston Villa: Sinisterra to score anytime, 1 pt, at 100/30, bet365
