Premier League: Mings the merciless…

The Premier League returns tonight after a break for the FA Cup, starting with the clash between Aston Villa and Leeds at Villa Park.

Both teams would have had to endure uncomfortable postmortems after their cup clashes, with Leeds requiring two late goals to survive against Cardiff and Villa actually losing to League Two Stevenage.

That said, we have more faith in the ability of Unai Emery’s Villa to rebound. They have won three, drawn one and lost just one of his five games in charge, while Leeds have lost six of their eight league away games this season.

Leeds continue to look suspect at the back, and we’ll take a punt that Villa defender Tyrone Mings takes advantage of some slack set piece marking to score a header.
