Saturday Yankee: Too Good…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Too Friendly, (1405 Kempton), 2pts win, 9/1:

This looks a good opportunity for blog favourite Yorksea, but we have also been waiting to see Too Friendly get a good ground flat track combination.  Conditions look ideal for him and his stable is hot after a couple of big Cheltenham windss, one for this jockey.

Limited Reserve, (1330 Uttoxeter), 14/1:  always tricky trying to work out when a veteran’s falling rating is about to boost them, but this fella showed a bit more last time before fading and at his best was way better than this mark and should like conditions.

Lord Snooty, (1420 Uttoxeter), 4/1:  still probably unexposed as was an easy winner on handicap debut, in a race that has worked out well.  Hasn’t been unduly burdened for this and whilst there are many fancied opponents, most of those are unproven in handicap company.

Truckers Lodge, (1500 Uttoxeter), 12/1:  We fancy two veteran former winners to go well here.  Time To Get Up can be expected to return to form, but slight preference if the ground is as testing as expected comes for old slogger Truckers Lodge.  He was a wide margin winner of this in 2020 off a mark of 141 and has returned to run well in the race twice since off 152 and 149.  Now gets in off just 135 and showed signs of life at Musselburgh last time.
