Manchester City have claimed their fifth title in six years and the Champions League positions have largely been sorted, and so it’s the relegations positions thet remain open for debate as the season draws to an end.
Leicester travel to Newcastle this evening needing the three points on offer to climb out of the relegation zone, but will find it very difficult to contain a home team who have had an excellent season.
The Foxes have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of the table, but defensively they have been very weak. Newcastle have the players to take advantage of this, and could easily run away with this match. Newcastle’s tally of 67 goals is their most in a top-flight campaign since netting 74 in 2001-02.
Callum Wilson has scored 11 times in 10 top-flight appearances since the start of April, scoring twice in 3 of his last 4 games. He’s a short price to net tonight, but we’ll take the 5/1 on offer that he scores a brace.
Recommendation:
Wilson (Newcastle) to score twice, 1 pt, at 5/1, Paddy Power
