After three events on historic courses with elite fields, the PGA Tour takes a step back in quality with the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club.
One of the players we have been most impressed with during this short restart is Bryson DeChambeau, and he is the favourite for this event. We’re going to pass, as we think 6/1 is too short for a player who has played well but shown some weaknesses with his chipping and putting. He could well win, as he drives the ball a mile, but we think there’s value elsewhere.
Si Woo Kim played well last week, finishing 11th and with a little more luck with his putter he could well have competed more closely. The Korean is hugely talented, having already won the Players Championship in his short career, and we think he could feature in this field.
Our second selection is another Korean, Sungjae Im. He may have had a quiet fortnight or so but has too clash to stay out of the limelight for long. He could use this opportunity with a number of the top stars away to reestablish himself in the upper echelons of the game.
