This seems a tricky week for making NFL predictions (aren’t they all, asks editor), so we’ll leave the usual treble alone and concentrate on just one game.
The game in question is the Houston Texans hosting the Indianapolis Colts.
Now while the Texans aren’t exactly setting the world alight, at the start of the week they were heavy favourites to beat the lacklustre Colts, a team which has lost six out of its eight games to date. However, the injury to Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has altered things dramatically.
Don’t get me wrong, the Texans are still favourites, but if the Colts can target backup quarterback Jets-reject Ryan Fitzpatrick, then they have a chance.
We’ll take a punt that the Texans become rudderless without their leader, and take the 12/5 that the Colts win.
