Premier League: Kane the record breaker…

There’s a Boxing Day program in the Premier League today, starting off with Southampton’s televised visit to Tottenham.

Spurs have now won five of their last six league fixtures at Wembley, as they rebuild White Hart Lane, and we think this will be another win. Harry Kane needs one more goal to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record for most goals in a calendar year, and we expect him to do so.

Next up, Manchester United host Burnley in one of the three o’clock matches.

United boss Jose Mourinho will be spitting feathers about the two points dropped with Leicester’s late equaliser on Saturday, and will ensure his team are focused for today’s clash.

We think this will be enough to get United the three points against a well organised Burnley side, with main striker Romelu Lukaku likely to score.

Finally, the late televised game sees Swansea travel to Anfield to take on free scoring Liverpool.

The Welsh side lie bottom of the table and recently parted company with manager Paul Clement. They face a very difficult task against a side unbeaten in their last 10 league games.

We think it will be beyond them, and Liverpool could win going away. With that in mind we’ll take a punt that Brazilian magician Philippe Coutinho continues his good form with another goal.

Recommendation: Kane, Lukaku and Coutinho all to score as an anytime treble, 1 pt, at approximately 5/1, Paddy Power
