Tuesday Yankee: El to pay….

A nice nap win to National week courtesy of 3/1 shot Court Royale at Ludlow yesterday.  Let’s see if we can get on a run…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  El Astronaute, (1515 Musselburgh), 1pt win, 5/2 generally available

not ahead on ratings but is a fast starter on both track and in a season, often showing his best from debut onwards, and should thrive at this track. Tarboosh has the ratings edge but usually needs a few runs to be at his best, whilst the other challenger on ratings, Merhoob, got there on dirt and has it to prove on turf.

Love Dreams, (1545 Musselburgh), 11/4:  was in flying form at the start of last season but hit his ceiling with his mark around 106.  Has been dropping since but whilst a Spring trip to Dubai yielded little there, it seemed to sharpen him up and he was a fine second last time at Kempton.  Fit, back in form, down to 93, and we’ll drawn for a prominent racer at a track that suits, looks a good thing.

Field Gun, (1600 Lingfield), 7/2:  favourite Global Tango benefitted from first tim blinkers and an inspired pace-setting ride from Jamie Spencer last time. For all that Cieren Fallon is promising, his 7lb claim here may not compensate for the tricky tactical rise required.  Field Gun looks a simpler proposition having looked likely to enjoy this step back when winning over 7f despite running freely. All weather legend Adam Kirby rides.

Make Good, (1700 Lingfield), 7/2:  this apprentice event looks just the place to take advantage of Cieren Fallon’s 7lb claim as he gets to claim it against fellow apprentices rather than experienced jockeys. His mount looks good too, an uncomplicated prominent racer who was a good second in a better contest last week and he can go one better here.
