Monday Yankee: My oh My…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:   Mymilan, (1420 Carlisle), 1pt win, 3/1:

He has run into some form in his last two appearances.  Cruised into the lead at Kelso last time before fading late on to lose narrowly.  On one hand this is fractionally further, on the other hand the ground won’t be too testing.  Perhaps most importantly, jockey Ryan Mania will know not to go from too far out.

Xpo Universel, (1430 Carlisle), 5/2:  Ex French veteran who sauntered to a career best win last week.  Whilst the 7lb penalty asks a career high question of him, it also in no way reflects his superiority last week.  He has won back-to-back before, and is a past course winner here.

Bold Decision, (1700 Wolves), 7/2:  the favourite’s course form is a worry, and Bold Decision looks ready to spring a surprise.  Snapped up after a light campaign in Ireland he ran nicely here over an inadequate 6f before running soon after with great promise at Kempton.  This will be a third quick run, but it’s a poorer race than the last two and that must mean a winning chance.

Ember’s Glow, (2030 Wolves), 11/4:  has been very consistent in these types of races here over the winter.  Has won one and been placed a few times but not raised on the ratings as these are deemed races he should be winning. He can do so again.
