Premier League: Bank on bookings…

The final game of this Premier League midweek fixture list sees Tottenham host Chelsea, with both teams desperately needing the three points in the race for the Champions League places.

Tottenham have had a bad run of late, and could lose three consecutive top-flight fixtures for the first time since November 2012. The loss of Harry Kane to injury in their loss to Liverpool last week has changed the mood around the club. Based on their performance against Brighton on the weekend, Spurs are there for the taking.

The only problem is Chelsea have lost four of their past five away league games, as many defeats as in their previous 16. This form resulted in Frank Lampard losing his job as manager of the west London club. Thomas Tuchel has started by shoring up the Blues’ defence, and he can become the first Chelsea boss to record clean sheets in each of his first three league games since Jose Mourinho in 2004. But how adventurous will he be?

We’re really not sure how this match is going to pan out, but we this it’s likely to be highly competitive. SkyBet offers an enhanced 14/1 that midfielders Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic and Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are both booked. We’ll give that a go.

Recommendations:

Kovacic and Hojbjerg to both be booked, 1 pt, at 14/1, SkyBet
