Premier League: Free scoring Mason…

There’s only one Premier League match on the menu this evening, but Chelsea against Arsenal is usually a lively affair.

The teams last met on Boxing Day, when Arsenal ran out a 3-1 winner. That loss was part of a run of five defeats in eight league games for the Blues which culminated in the departure of manager Frank Lampard.

Fast forward five months and Chelsea lie fourth in the league and have made the Champions League final, while Arsenal are simply trying to play out a disappointing season which will see them miss out on European football for the first time in 25 years.

Chelsea have kept 11 clean sheets in their last 12 matches at Stamford Bridge, and so we’re not looking to the Arsenal side for any goalscorers!

Thomas Tuchel could rest some of the key Chelsea players ahead of the Saturday’s FA Cup final, but we note with interest that Mason Mount didn’t play on the weekend, leaving him fresh for tonight. We’re going to hope that the important midfielder starts tonight, and with Chelsea likely to have plenty of possession his shooting boots could come into play.

A total of 44 of Mount’s 71 shots in the Premier League this season have come from outside the area, and we’ll take advantage of SkyBet’s 16/1 that he scores from distance.

Recommendations:

Mount to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 16/1, SkyBet
