Monday Yankee: Cliffs to coast home….

Potentially only Lingfield today, but enough action there to craft a nice Yankee…

The Daily Yankee:

Caledonia Laird, (1420 Lingfield), 13/2:  An all weather regular who has historically been competitive off marks in the low 60s, dropped to 57 for first run after a break and was an eye-catching 3rd.  Dropped another pound for that he can surprise a vulnerable short favourite in World Of Good.

Cliffs Of Dover, (1525 Lingfield), 1/1:  High quality hurdler for Paul Nicholls.  Hasn’t had his ground at all, so switched to flat and hosed up here recently.  A 7lb rise for that does not look nearly enough and he should have no issue following up.

Solid Man, (1655 Lingfield), 15/8:  Lightly raced and improving.  Been beaten as favourite last twice but looks like this longer trip will suit.  Japanese pedigree hard to decipher but run style suggest this  10f at this track should be ideal.

Forestry, (1725 Lingfield), 14/1:  Unsighted in three maidens, but showed up well until this distance at Kempton in his first handicap.  This amateur race, and a mark of just 46, is low enough fare to give him a competitive chance, and he looks underestimated in the market.
