Premier League: Time to bet Fred…

And so it all begins again.  The 2018/19 Premier League campaign kicks off at the Theatre Of Dreams where Manchester United host Leicester City.

An increasingly morose Jose Mourinho bemoans his lack of options as stars such as Paul Pogba and Antony Martial remain on leave, and tman Romelu Lukaku may only be able to offer a substitute role.

The Foxes though look likely to be more impacted with the probable absence of Jamie Vardy and possibly England colossus Harry Maguire.

A steady United win looks likely with a 1-0 or 2-0 scoreline favoured.  As punters we look likely to have to make our own entertainment.

The 2-0 scoreline, or an Alexis Sanchez first goal have appeal, but we’ll rely on a tried and tested commentator bias for all things new.

United’s only signing of note has been Brazilian midfield workhorse Fred, and he could well catch the commentator’s eye.

Just 5/1 with Hills to get the Man Of The Match gong, he is a much more tempting 8/1 at BetFred, which sounds less like a bookies name than an instruction…

Recommendation:  Fred, Man Of The Match, 1pt win, 8/1 BetFred
