Premier League: Off, off, off…

Most of the focus of the sporting world may be on Paris and the last day of the Ryder Cup, but that doesn’t mean the Premier League stops.

Sunday’s sole game sees Burnley travel to South Wales to take on Cardiff. This is a vital game for both sides, with the visitors just above the relegation zone and the hosts firmly in it.

Both sides have had difficulty winning games in the Premier League this season – only one game between them out of 12 played. Cardiff are at home and thus take the favourites tag, but it’s Burnley that have the only win and that was last time out in the league, a hefty 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.

We at Lap of the Odds tend to side with the visitors, but are wary of a desperate Cardiff side. As a result, we’ll steer clear of predicting a result. Instead we’ll bank on the game having a physical edge, and take the 24/5 on offer that these teams will produce a red card.

Recommendation: A red card in the game, 1 pt, at 24/5, Unibet
