FA Cup: Look for high scoring draw…

The fourth round of the FA Cup opens with a cracking tie tonight, Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates.

There could be changes from the sides fielded last weekend in the Premier League, but this competition is the last chance of domestic success for both sides so expect strong teams.

Arsenal have an excellent home record this season, winning 13 of 18 games in all competitions and only losing two. But they have only won one of the last six meetings between these two sides.

Additionally, United are on a roll. They have won their last seven matches under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring 19 goals and conceding only four.

We find it difficult to separate the two sides, but think there will be goals in the game. And with this in mind we’re going to take a punt on a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes. This is a 10/1 shot, and to balance the books a little we’re also going to suggest a Paul Pogba goal at some point during the game.

Pogba has been revitalised by the appointment of Solskjaer (or the sacking of Mourinho) and has scored five times during these seven games. We’ll take the 2/1 that a televised FA Cup game piques his interest enough for him to give his all.

Recommendations:

2-2 draw after 90 minutes, 1 pt, at 10/1, Ladbrokes

Pogba to score at anytime, 1 pt, at 2/1, widely available
