Dubai World Cup Special

A big race night in Meydan and some excellent betting opportunities:

12:15 Muntazah, 4/5:   Quite a few short priced favourites on the card but none as attractive as this one.  Second to Heavy Metal in this last year, but flyingbin fhis year’s build up and likely to dominate that rival this time.

12:50 Ispolini, 9/4:  Melbourne Cup winner Cross Counter and Prix du Cadran winner Call The Wind are the class acts, but Ispolini has been in sparkling form stepped up in trip and he can catch the big guns cold at this early stage of the season.

1330:  Stormy Liberal, 11/1:  all eyes will be on hot favourite Blue Point and he will be tough to beat.  But Stormy Liberal was a good second in this last year and is well priced to at least hit the frame again.

1520: Almond Eye, 1/1:  a decent field but possible dominated by Japanese super filly Almond Eye.  A great winner of the Japan Cup, she is potentially one of the world elite and can make sushi of these opponents.

1640:  Capezzano, 9/2:  there could be a key early pace battle here between North America and Capezzano.  The course suits early pace, and the flying Capezzano has the draw advantage to get the rail position under jockey Barzalona.  If he does, he will be very hard to pass.

Recommendations:

Muntazah – Ispolini – Almond Eye – Capezzano:  4 x 0.5pt win trebles,  1pt win accum (approx 60/1).

Stormy Liberal:  0.5pts each way.
