Premier League: Quick-fire Hazard…

Subscribers cheered on Liverpool to their 2-0 win at Cardiff yesterday, as this netted them a 6/1 winner.

Now eyes turn to west London as Chelsea take on Burnley, seeking three points to enhance their chances of claiming a top four spot, and thus Champions League football next season.

Chelsea have been strong at home of late, winning five of their last six at Stamford Bridge in all competitions. That said, Burnley have won their last three league games and did win this equivalent fixture last year.

Still, Burnley are basically safe from relegation and thus we think the greater incentive for the three points lies with Chelsea.

And we’re also going to side with Eden Hazard. The Belgian has been in sparkling form of late, scoring half his team’s goals in their last five home league games. Historical performance suggests the 3/1 to score first is only fair, but judging from the recent numbers above then that price offers value.

We do side with Hazard frequently, but the numbers suggest with just cause, and we’ll take him to open the scoring this evening.

Recommendation: Hazard to score first, 1 pt, at 3/1, Paddy Power
