Monday Yankee: Count on Sam T-D….

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:

Count Jurado, (1520 Fakenham), 2/1:  has made a habit of going close without winning.  We backed him last time at Musselburgh and he looked like he gave his all to go down narrowly. This trip south looks an interesting move, and good ground round the beds here is about as easy on stamina as it gets.  Sam Twiston-Davies looks a perfect booking and he can force this one home with an aggressive ride.

Strictlyadancer, (1420 Fontwell), 5/2:  showed that he was still progressive when winning a decent little race at Exeter in some style.  He got smuggled in late there having been buried in the pack, and looked to have more in hand than the 7lbs he has been raised.  Should be able to follow up in this company.

Epsom Des Mottes, (1440 Ayr), 5/2:   Won here over hurdles on heavy ground and made an impressive chasing debut at Newcastle last time when overcoming a few errors to run away with it.  Has been lumped up 13lbs for that, but can shrug that off with a slightly cleaner round.

Calivigny, (1510 Ayr), 11/4: veteran chaser who looked better than ever with an easy win here last time.  Up 8lbs, he has been priced up as though a career high chase mark is likely to be beyond him, but the stable has had a good Autumn and this isn’t the hardest race to win.
