Premier League: Bank on Barnes…

The Premier League scheduled continues, with five more matches scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Burnley takes on Aston Villa at Turf Moor. The hosts are on a roll, having beaten Fulham in the FA Cup over the weekend after their stunning victory over Liverpool at Anfield. Villa have also been impressive of late, been Turf Moor is a difficult place to visit when Burnley are playing well, and we’ll side with a home win.

Ashley Barnes scored the winning penalty at Anfield, proving himself to be a real pain to the Liverpool defence. We’ll take him to fulfil the same role tonight, scoring anytime at 11/5.

Chelsea take on Wolves, in what will be Thomas Tuchel’s first game in charge since the sacking of Frank Lampard as Chelsea manager. We’re unsure what team/formation he will prefer, so we’ll leave this match alone.

Next up Brighton take on Fulham at the Amex Stadium. This is a big game, with a home win opening up a gap between the two sides and thus the bottom three. Fulham have been playing reasonably well of late without winning too many, but Brighton were very impressive in defeating Leeds last time out. We think evens on a home win represents value.

Later in the evening, Everton take on Leicester at Goodison Park. The Foxes are in terrific form, and have been very impressive away from home, but the absence of key striker Jamie Vardy will be a real problem.

We fancy Everton to take advantage of Vardy’s hernia operation to win this game, and look for Brazilian star Richarlison to score anytime, at 13/5.

Finally, Manchester United take on bottom team Sheffield United at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are flying at the moment, and come into this game fresh off a thrilling 3-2 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have not lost in the league since Arsenal won at Old Trafford at the beginning of November, and anything other than a home win would be a major surprise tonight.

We think the home side could score a few goals tonight, and we look for Paul Pogba to continue his recent good form to get on the score sheet at a price of 3/1.

Recommendations:

Barnes (Burnley), Richarlison (Everton), Pogba (Man United) to score anytime and Brighton to win, four trebles and an accumulator (prices from Paddy Power)
