Sunday Yankee: Head for the Gym

A surprisingly good Sunday card on both sides of the Irish Sea should provide ample ammunition for a tasty Yankee:

The Daily Yankee:

Gymkhana, (1505 Naas), 6/1:  Won this race in fine fashion last year.  Didn’t really kick on from that but at least gets a chance to repeat off a workable weight just 4lbs higher than last year.  Trainer Jessie Harrington is likely to have this as target through the Winter and looks primed to defend.

Mobsta, (1535 Doncaster), 9/1:  Our Nap Of The Day looks thrown in if he can refund the form they made him a Listed racecrinner on this card two years ago.  Jockey booking is a real eye-catcher and suggests this may be a targetted plunge.

Tuff Rock, (1645 Doncaster), 9/2:  Was progressing well towards the back end of last season and starts off on a reasonable mark.  Trainer Ed Walker can have them ready first time out, and the booking of Jamie Spencer augurs well in a race that lacks much strength in depth.

Hit The Silk, (1650 Naas), 18/1:  Very lightly raced, but showed bags of promise when hurtling home from the rear to finish a close up 7th in listed company on the last of his three runs.  Lack of proven handicap form  could be an issue here, but he is well drawn and there could be value in backing potential to trump experience.
