Champions League: Mbappe to stun United…

The Champions League proper kicks off today, with two English teams drawn to play in this opening session.

Chelsea host Sevilla, and are favoured to win this opening clash. However, they won’t find it easy against the current Europa League champions, a team that have won their past three major European matches against English teams.

Chelsea come into the game fresh off conceding three goals at home to Southampton, and clearly have defensive issues. The odds favour the Blues, but we think Sevilla will get their chances.

We’re going to side with Lucas Ocampos to score anytime tonight at 3/1. The Argentine winger scored 14 times in the league last season, and importantly scored a penalty in the 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the 2020 UEFA Super Cup.

The second game sees Manchester United travel to Paris to take on PSG. The Red Devil’s bounced back from their horrendous 6-1 home defeat to Spurs by beating Newcastle 4-1 over the weekend.

However, they are now taking on the Champions League listing finalist, a completely different proposition. They are also missing captain Harry Maguire, so will be depleted defensively.

PSG will have their eyes on the big prize after coming so close last season, and we think they will have too much for the English team.

In Kylian Mbappe they have a very talented young star, and we think SkyBet’s evens on him to score tonight is a good price. We will double this with the 3/1 on Ocampos to create a 7/1 double.

Recommendations:

Ocampos to score anytime for Sevilla at 3/1, Mbappe to score anytime for PSG at evens, 1 pt, for the double at 7/1, SkyBet
