Premier League: Long distance Prowse-ess…

The final game of this Premier League weekend sees Brighton take on Southampton at the Amex Stadium.

The hosts will be looking to kick on from the deserved point they took from champions Liverpool last weekend, and are they are starting look like a good side. That said, they now face a good Southampton team that must be smarting from the 3-2 loss to Manchester United last weekend.

One of Southampton’s stars this season has been James Ward-Prowse. The midfielder has forced his way into the full England squad. His set piece distribution is excellent and he has added goals to the equation this season, scoring four in his last five. Ward-Prowse has scored three direct free-kicks this season, out of only six scored in the Premier League this season, proving his prowess.

He now takes on a Brighton side, a team which has conceded the most fouls per match in the top flight, an average of over 13 per game. This suggest plenty of opportunity for the Southampton star to add to his collection, of three in the last four games.

SkyBet has offered an enhanced 12/1 for Ward-Prowse to score from outside of the area. That’s something we can’t turn down!

Recommendations:

Ward-Prowse (Southampton) to score from outside the penalty area, 1 pt, at 12/1 SkyBet
